Clinical manifestations of silicone foam dressing in bony protuberance

It has been proved experimentally that silicone foam dressing can reduce the pressure of 42-47% and 30% shear force when it is applied to the bone protuberance, and effectively prevent the occurrence of pressure ulcers.

Prevention of pressure damage of skin tissue (Pressure ulcer)
1. Waterproof back layer, which is not easily polluted by external sources.
2. High plasticity, suitable for hard-to-apply parts.
3. Stick firmly, without sticking hair.
4. Will not avulse epithelial tissue protect vulnerable skin.
5. When the dressing is not contaminated, it can be repeatedly pasted to facilitate local abservation.
6. It can be used for up to 10 days with higher economic benefits.
7.  It is superior to hydrocolloid dressing and foam dressing in the prevention of pressure ulcer.
Application
1. Decompression of vulnerable skin at bone protuberance.
2. Long-term bedridden patients.
3. Immobile patients.
4. Paraplegic patients.
5. Stage I, stage II pressure ulcers.
6. Prevent pressure ulcers for perioperative patients.
7. ICU patients.
Methods of prevention
1. The suitable dressing models, specifications and sizes are selected according to the different pressure parts;
2. Clean local skin;
3. Remove the release film and stick it to the skin being pressed;
4. Open the dressing daily, check the pressure parts, and stick the original dressing again after cleaning the skin;
5. Replace the dressing or follow the doctor's advice if the adhesive ability of the dressing is lost.
