What environmental elements are needed for wound healing?

If a wound wants to heal faster, a good environment is also important. As early as 1962, Dr. Winter of the Royal Society of Medicine confirmed in animal experiments that wounds heal faster in a moist environment than in a dry environment, and epithelial cells grow in a moist environment. It is faster and helps to maintain the vitality of cells. The contents of fibroblast growth factor, epidermal growth factor, and platelet-derived growth factor in wound exudate are higher than those in a non-humid environment, and these exudates themselves can also promote in vitro culture. Growth of fibroblasts, glial cells, and endothelial cells.

Element 1: Humid environment

The wound contains exudate and maintains a moist environment, which can help the movement of tissue repair cells, provide nutrients needed for cell metabolism, and assist the diffusion of growth factors and immune factors, thereby accelerating the self-debridement and healing of the wound.

Element 2: Confined space

1. Research shows that under anaerobic conditions, the blood vessel proliferation rate in wounds is 6 times that of aerobic conditions. The proliferation of new blood vessels increases as the oxygen content of the wound atmosphere decreases.

2. The skin is slightly acidic and is an ideal wound-healing environment. The closed wound environment is slightly acidic (6.4±0.5), while the pH of open wounds is >7.1. Fibroblasts need an acidic environment to produce collagen, which is the main component of granulation tissue.

3. Wound healing requires sterile airtightness: gauze is breathable but not airtight, which can easily cause infection problems.

Element 3: Maintain a constant temperature

Keep the local temperature of the wound at 37 degrees, the mitosis speed of cells increases by 108%, and the enzyme activity is at its best;

Each dressing change and disinfection will cause the wound temperature to be 2-5 degrees lower than normal body temperature. Frequent dressing changes of conventional dressings will reduce the wound healing speed.

For wounds with a lot of exudate, it is recommended to use Silicone Foam Dressing. It adopts a unique material and design, which can absorb a large amount of exudate while also effectively preventing wound adhesion, making it easier and more comfortable for you to change dressings.

Advantages of Silicone Foam Dressing :

1. It has a five-layer structure: silicone gel layer, foam absorption layer, one-way flow layer, highly absorbent liquid storage layer, and semi-permeable membrane layer. It has a soft texture and provides the best breathable environment for your wounds. , effectively avoid infection.

2. Prevent adhesion damage: The silicone gel coating can make it painless when you change the dressing, and you can easily remove the gauze to reduce the pain of the dressing change.

3. Moisturizing and antibacterial: Our dressing can provide a closed space for wound healing, reduce the risk of infection, and promote wound healing.

4. Easy to fix: The dressing design is ergonomic, easy to fix on the affected area, and not easy to slip off.

Silicone Foam Dressing is suitable for all kinds of wounds that exude a lot of fluid. Whether it is surgical incisions, burns, wounds, or other skin injuries, it can provide you with the most considerate care. Let your wounds heal quickly and get back to health!
