How to deal with hard-to-heal wounds

A wound is a damaged tissue produced by the human body after external trauma, and a wound that is difficult to heal refers to a wound that cannot restore its original structure and function during the normal healing cycle. Wounds that are difficult to heal can cause problems such as infection, pain, blood loss, and scarring, which can seriously affect the patient's quality of life. This article describes what to do about difficult-to-heal wounds.

Identify barriers to wound healing and plan care accordingly :

First of all, we need to evaluate the type and extent of the wound to determine whether the wound needs further treatment. If the wound is shallow, simple treatments such as washing, disinfecting, and dressing can be used. If the wound is deep or infected, more complex treatment measures are required. Wound assessment needs to consider the following factors: wound type, wound location, wound size, wound depth, skin condition around the wound, wound infection, patient's physical condition, and patient's psychological condition.

Wound infection or biofilm :

If the wound is not treated in time, it will also lead to wound infection. The typical symptoms of wound infection include the following 6 types:

1. inflammation

2. hot wound site

3. severe pain

4. Redness is obvious

5. swelling

6. oozing pus

How to treat difficult-to-heal wounds?

There are many treatments for hard-to-heal wounds, here are some common ones:

1. Drug therapy: such as antibiotics, growth factors, etc., these drugs can help control infection, promote wound healing and tissue repair.

2. Surgical operations: such as debridement, skin grafting, etc. These operations can help remove necrotic tissue around the wound, and promote wound healing and tissue repair.

3. Functional wound dressing treatment: You can use silver-containing dressings such as Silver Ion Dressing, Silver Ion Dressing Foam, which can release silver ions, which can kill a variety of pathogenic bacteria, such as Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, etc, so as to effectively anti-inflammatory and sterilize. It can also stimulate cell proliferation and differentiation, promote the growth of new tissue, it can kill bacteria by releasing silver ions, and promote wound healing. It can also sterilize and reduce inflammation to reduce inflammation, thereby reducing pain. And it does not need to be replaced frequently, which reduces the patient's pain and nursing burden.

4. Chinese medicine treatment: such as external application of Chinese medicine, acupuncture, etc. These treatments can help promote blood circulation and enhance immunity, thereby promoting wound healing and tissue repair.

In short, the treatment of difficult-to-heal wounds requires a comprehensive consideration of the type and extent of the wound, keeping the wound clean and moist, using a medication, and performing the surgical treatment. During the treatment process, it is necessary to closely observe the changes in the wound and adjust the treatment plan in time to promote wound healing.
