Before radiotherapy, patients should be reminded as much as possible to protect the skin, and at the same time, pay attention to hydration to avoid dryness and peeling of the skin before treatment. If the skin is damaged or has other adverse conditions before treatment, it will increase the degree of skin damage caused by radiation therapy and bring more pain to the patient. 3. After radiotherapy

Because radiation therapy will cause certain damage and destruction to the body's tissue cells, but the damage will not appear immediately after radiation therapy, but only after a period of radiation therapy. Therefore, within a few days after radiation therapy, Special attention should be paid to the protection of the skin, pay attention to the hydration of the skin, and at the same time maintain the integrity of the skin as much as possible to avoid external stimulation of the skin after the skin is damaged. As some patients may experience skin ulceration after radiotherapy, attention should be paid to skin care, especially anti-infection care. Wound infection caused by radiation skin injury is more serious than general wound infection, and antibiotics can be used if necessary. Treat, keep the skin around the wound dry and control bleeding and pus from the wound.

Generally speaking, about a week after radiotherapy, the symptoms of skin damage will enter the most serious stage. At this time, more attention should be paid to skin care, maintain the integrity of the skin as much as possible, and pay attention to anti-infective treatment; The tissue cells in the damaged part will slowly recover; after one month of radiotherapy, the damaged part will basically heal or improve to a certain extent.

After the skin is damaged, the patient needs to be treated with analgesia and anti-infection. In addition, chemicals should not be used to clean the damaged area. If the damaged area does not heal within a period of time and the wound gradually expands, surgery should be considered.

In many cases, the patient still needs radiation therapy when the skin has been damaged. In this case, it is possible to consider changing the location for radiation therapy. If it is not possible to change the location, it is necessary to protect the skin damage to a certain extent, otherwise the wound will become more and more severe. The more serious it is, it affects the treatment of the disease and also increases the risk of infection. In addition, skin damage in some parts may lead to permanent pigmentation in the part, causing psychological shadows to patients, and skin damage caused by radiotherapy can also cause severe pain in the wound, so the psychological care of patients is also necessary. indispensable.

Radiotherapy is an indispensable part of my country's modern medical system. The intervention of radiotherapy is required in the treatment and diagnosis of many diseases.
